You were a loser back then, your a loser now, and Im ready to move on. Then one day, after Fubuki kicks his butt in a match, Suoh decides to use his family heirloom of a "dragon fang" to upgrade his beyblade and came walking out of there with this kind of attitude- "Oh, Fubuki, you're so silly didnt you realize i was only friends with you because there wasn't anyone better to duel with? But the truth is, Im too good to hang out with you-I always was. He and Fubuki have known each other since childhood, and seem to have grown up together, and they even seem like a pair of really tight friends especially when you see Suoh complimenting Fubuki's hard work and practice. At first, he comes off as polite, calm, respectful.but Instead Suoh eventually shows his true colors of being an arrogant, egotistical, selfish, narcassisitc, rude jerk. Suoh Genji was introduced as a support friend to Fubuki, and so I initally liked him and thought he was going to be the one to cheer Fubuki on whenever he looses. I kind of like these ethnic touches to some of these characters, and there is something destinctly Asian about his name and the armor that he wears. Oh, and I forgot to mention, Hae Jin Oh is actually Korean. Well, messed up or not, Having his bey blade being themed after the large, strong hero Hercules is still fitting for Hae-Jin Oh and I love that he's also a champion at archery and participates in archery tournaments, because its hard to find things in these characters that isn't soley focused around their stupid over hyped tops. Wouldn't Robin Hood be better recognized for actually being an archer? Or even better, what about, Chiron the Centaur who's bow and arrow became our Zodiac symbol for Sagittarius? He was actually an archer and sticks to this weird hero worship of greek figures. Though here, Hercules is presented as the great Archer, and as some one whos introduction to mythology was classical Greek Mythology, I find the interpretation a bit off. At least Hae-jin Oh isn't being a weeaboo about it by pasting stickers of the letter H all over his face and clothes like the way Aiger does. And his Bey theme of the Greek hero Hercules is actually fitting for him, more so than Aiger's theme of hero worshipping Achilles. I really dont think Aiger is worthy of Hae-Jin Oh's attention, but I like that weird strange-dog-that-follows-you-everywhere kind of way that Hae-Jin Oh apparenly persues friendships. In fact, its apparent that if if he finds your warrior spirit intriguing enough, he'll attach himself to you and follow you around to see what makes you tick, since this is how he was introduce and started following Aiger around and even moved into Aiger's camping tent for awhile. He's straight forward, hard working, not really elequent, friendly and respects anyone with a warrior's spirit. He's a really big man so seeing him hang out with kids is not really strange, I mean, whats left in anime that we can consider strange? Hae-Jin oh reminds me of one of those peaceful nature loving type hero characters. He's a very warrior-esque character and feels like he should be fighting monsters instead of playing a game of tops. Hae-jin Oh, prounounced as Hey-jin oh and said all together-it's not Hae-jin, it's Hae-Jin Oh.
